Saturday, October 3 – Project: Colonel David Bridgford 1791-1868
On Saturday October 3rd, 2026, in our Heritage Cemetery, there will be a Monument Raising Ceremony for Colonel David Bridgford, a decorated War Veteran from the War of 1812. Mayor David West, will be presenting alongside the Richmond Hill Masons, Richmond Hill Legion 375, The Richmond Hill Historical Society, The City of Richmond Hill Heritage Department, and the War of 1812 Re-enactment Group. The Stewardship and Cemetery Team are asking for donations to support the $10K budget for the new monument and Ceremony. Funds will be raised from April to October 3rd. Please direct your donations to The Colonel Bridgford Project. We look forward to seeing you all on October 3rd, 2026.
