Welcome to Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church!

We’re so glad you’ve come to join us and hope you find our church a warm and caring place. Regular services are from 10:30am to 11:30 am every Sunday. During that hour, we will pray, we will sing, and we will learn from the Bible. Following the service there is a fellowship time where we can socialize and get to know each other better.
At Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church we acknowledge that “God’s Love includes Everyone.” We celebrate our diversity in ability, race, age, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, social economic circumstances, and family configurations. Whether you are challenged in any way, have never been to church before, or not for a long time, identify as 2SLGBTQI+, or are exploring different faith traditions or spiritualities, we at Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church are on a humble Christ-centered journey, learning what it means to be fully accessible and inclusive. All are welcome to join us on our journey.
Land Acknowledgement
Let us begin by acknowledging the land on which Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church gathers, worships and conducts ministry on. For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of Wendat, the Haudenosaunee , and the Anishinaabe peoples, whose presence here continues to this day, along with other Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island and beyond.
Today, we gather in person, but also virtually, so we would also like to acknowledge all the Indigenous Peoples across Canada and the importance of the lands that we each call home. We do this to reaffirm our commitment and our responsibility in improving relationships between communities and peoples and to improve our own understanding of local Indigenous peoples and their cultures.
From coast to coast to coast, we acknowledge the ancestral and unceded territory of all the Inuit, Métis, and First Nations people that call this great land home.
A Prayer for Peace and a Healing of Nations
With conflict breaking out in Iran and surrounding regions, we remember our grounding in the Prince of Peace and God’s call for the healing of the nations. We pray for healing for all those impacted by renewed violence, and that lasting, equitable peace will prevail instead.
God of mercy and love,
We remember before you those impacted by conflict and war
Watch over those whose lives are in danger,
especially those in Iran and the surrounding areas.
Comfort those who are anxious for themselves or loved ones;
and gather into your loving arms those who will die.
Soften the passions in the hearts and minds of people
that keep alive the spirit of division and war,
guide the nations of the world into ways of peace, justice, and truth,
and establish among them a spirit of unity and cooperation,
that all people in this world might have abundant life.
In your grace, restore peace within and between us;
in the name of the Prince of Peace,
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
