Passage: Genesis 24:34-38, 42-49, 58-67

Good Morning Everyone:  What a spectacular week of summer weather we are having.  Yes, it’s a bit hot, especially to those of us who have come from more temperate climates.  I advise those vacationing in Scotland to pack for three seasons: cold, wet and hot.  When Paulette and I honeymooned in Scotland in July 1977, Paulette wore a borrowed afghan coat every day, and I wore my thickest wooly jumper. So spare a thought for those who may be suffering in this heat – check in on neighbours and family.  Some of you may be at the cottage – and it’s likely more comfortable where you are.

Wherever you may be, we are glad that you are worshipping with us.  Please remember in your prayers Perce Mossop and the entire family in the loss of Lorna on July 1st after a long, brave fight with illness; also Ziba, Mansour, Porousha and Arman in the loss of their father and grandfather. The eternal God is your dwelling place and underneath are the everlasting arms (Deuteronomy 33:27)

I attached an easy read version of our worship service. Please thank God in your prayers for all those who contribute their gifts to our weekly worship in any way.

Peace be with you, Duncan
