Good morning dear friends: How are you all? We thank God that (as far as we know) this congregation has not been touched directly by Covid-19. Sadly the same cannot be said for York Region and the GTA to our south where infections continue to rise. To preserve our health, and the health of our friends, loved ones and this community, Sunday 29th of November will be the last service held at church until January 31st. Our worship and technical teams will be recording worship each week to broadcast on Sundays. We will continue to mail and deliver printed scripts to those without internet access. Please contact me if you wish to be added to this list. Thanks to the elders for doing such a good job of keeping our church family informed and involved. Many thanks to all of you who have been supporting your church so faithfully during these days. We are humbled by your generosity.
It's looking a lot less like Christmas than any previous year in our lives. We are thankful for all those who are working tirelessly to re-invent some of our beloved congregational traditions like bazaar, pageant and toy-drive. Thanks to the facilities gifted us by God and the loving stewardship of generations past, we are able to continue the tradition of supporting Out of the Cold. Perspex dividers line Wallace Hall to separate the sleeping and eating spaces of our very special Christmas guests. They have been sheltering and sleeping here for four nights a week since last week and will be our guests through March. Please pray for them and those who nourish and keep them safe. Help if you can (see Congregational News).
Pray for each other and our church, please.
Peace be with you, Duncan
