Greetings one and all! In just over a month we'll be worshipping in church (Sep 13). Just as we have grown used to changes in every other aspect of life (shops, mask, sanitizers, physical distancing etc. you know the drill by now); so we will have to get used to some of the same changes in church - so no "hugathons" no matter how much you want to embrace your friends. I will use this space in my weekly email to go into more detail as August unfolds. Many of you have made great sacrifices to remain safe and keep others healthy over the last 6 months. Although there will be services in church we do not want anyone to feel pressured to attend unless you are very comfortable doing that. We will continue making services available online and in print as we have since the emergency began. Come to church when you are ready. Thank-you for your continued support and prayers. We can't do it without you.
Because these broadcast services have to be ready by Wednesdays for production, printing and mailing, the prayers are somewhat out of date. The disaster in Beirut is not in the service - but the people of Lebanon should be in all our prayers. This beautiful city was once known as the "Paris of the East". Please remember the people of Beirut as they struggle with unprecedented challenges. Help will be coming from many international aid charities. Please support their efforts as you are able.
Peace be with you, Duncan
