Passage: Acts 1:6-11, 1 Peter 5:6-11
Yes, my friends: May 24 has rolled around again.  Feel free to enjoy cake and pop to toast Queen Victoria this Sunday on her real birthday.  After Audio/Visual Worship that is.  Once again thanks to all of you who make this possible - especially creative director Roger, and all of you who have contributed word and/or music to our online worship. We have vacancies for the next few weeks for music and readers.  Some of you who have never stood before the church (and never wished to!) can now contribute to worship in the privacy of your own home.  "It's easy!" as the Beatles sang way back when. All you need (apart from love)  is a cell phone with voice recorder (they all have them!).  I'll attach a list of the readings through to the end of June.  If you want to sing/play - same deal - voice record it and send it my way. Pick a date and please let me know. I'll also attach the service for this Sunday with the usual caveat - if you plan to listen and watch online, keep the script out of sight until Sunday then use it as a bulletin.
Many thanks to your elders for keeping you in the loop. Zoom allowed us to meet as Session on May 12th.  Kudos to the Mary and Martha Guild who are celebrating their friendship on the phone: and to Bill Vanderboor and Terry Bolton who are holding Sunday Evening Bible study via Zoom. (Look at the end of Sunday's script for how you can join in.) Of course our "Youth" are reaching out to one another in  multi-media ways with the help of Carol P. who is keeping them loosely connected.  Deon has been sending wonderful keyboard music our way and Roger has featured some of that music in the "virtual entry" to church at the beginning of our worship videos. We'll be sharing communion during worship on June 7th.  Have some grape beverage and bread handy.  That's all for this week.  Stay healthy.  God be with you all and with all those you care for.
Peace be with you, Duncan
Duncan James Jeffrey
